YES! I am now officially addicted to creating icons! I had already been half-addicted to making still-shot icons (being in love with the Hitachiin twins and all), but now I have discovered animated icons and am fully obsessed.
( Here are some I have created recently...some animated...some not. )
There are so many ideas overflowing! So many possibilities XO How can I possibly do them all? Like Hagu in Honey & Clover ep. 6! OH GOD, another idea!!! x_x *sigh* I'm getting depressed thinking about H&C and Ouran now... Need to watch TV...vegitate for a while...

Wow...
Ouran Koukou Host Club will be my second favorite (and only by a very small margin) for probably...
...a long time. It'll be hard, if not impossible, to find something that will surpass it. Yeah - I really loved that series.

Okay, this is too awesome. They must do this with a lot of anime, since I've already encountered the same thing with Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu.
Hinamizawa is a REAL PLACE!!! My god...There's a man standing in the EXACT same place that Rika stood when she was talking to Akasaka...and the shot of the town from the opening sequence...Rika and Satoko's house...Mion's house...the bridge Keiichi was pushed off of...and the shrine of Oyashiro-sama!!! OMG. I wonder how they feel about having their town portrayed like..."it is"...in Higurashi;;; Or...is their town actually like that?! According to the website, there was actually dam construction going on... *gasp* Kyaaaaaaaaaaaa!! XDXDXDXD
I'm having way too much fun.
Edit: Oh, and apparently the dam (in the real world) was build after all. Sad... That probably means no murders, then.

I'm thinking of watching a few Japanese "drama" type things (Yes, not anime) if I can ever figure out how to get my hands on them.
First of all, I know I'm watching Shimotsuma Monogatari - also known as Kamikaze Girls - for sure. I remember feeling a certain attraction to it when I read a "preview" type chapter of the manga a long time ago (because it stars a "Lolita" girl and I definitely subscribe to the romanticism of that trend). Then I happened to see the DVD (live-action movie) at Hollywood Video a while back and thought it looked very enticing, but, once again, did not bother to pick it up (stupid me). From what I understand, it's basically about the intertwining lives of these two girls, one a "Lolita" and one a "Yankee". Anyway, I'm downloading that right now. I might eventually just rent it if I end up liking it a lot.
"Rough" and "Sekai no Chuushin de Ai wo Sakebu" are the other two things I want to watch ("Sekai" being a little branch off of my original plan to watch "Rough"). "Rough" is a movie based off of a manga, and I gather it's a romance about two people who do swimming as a sport. If you check Memento (Yes, I love this site), there is a PV of the movie theme song that's very cool. Yes. Very long to load, but very cool. Anyway, trying to find those right now. Oh, NANA live-action and Honey and Clover live-action are also on my very long list ^_~

THIS is for Kira. The sounds seem like quite a jumble at times, but they're all the original voice actors. You can hear Rena's "Omochikaerii!" and her and Keiichi beating on each other with a bat and axe! Violence! =D This being said, are you sure it's a manga type game? Check THIS out also, if you'd like. It's a funny scene and shows off the graphics, which are actually quite enjoyable when seen in 3D form. "Shie-sensei...no...Rumiko-san! Marry me!" XDXDXDXDXD Oh, after 3:12 in the clip, it's pretty much all crap though. I'd advise against watching further than that.

Kyoko - Happy Birthday |

There's a song that's played in Honey and Clover II that was used as a theme song for a Detective Conan movie made in 1997 (the first one, actually)! When I heard it, I knew it INSTANTLY. *sigh* Natsukashii~ It's called "Happy Birthday". A little more gloomy and slow in the Honey and Clover II version - probably performed by different people ;_;
Oh, and check out my new Kyouya icon...it's awesome. Sawayaka SMILE! XDXDXD

Just finished Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu! Good show. True, there are a lot of shows that I would have called "better", but this was definitely a great show. First of all, the animation and just...the make of the show - was superb. The angles and things they used seemed very original and interesting to me. And although some of the characters were cliche it's as if they were so overly cliche that it actually made them unique (which reminds me of Ouran Koukou somewhat). All the philosophical connections in the story were also cool...although sometimes confusing......(flashbacks to theory of knowledge). Throughout the show, I kept thinking that it reminded me of AIR somehow. And what do you know? It was created by the same studio! Great quality work.
By the way, if you have not yet, everyone should check out the site Memento for more cool stuff on the show (hope she doesn't mind me linking to her site ^^;). The reviewer has put up timelines and all kinds of stuff from the show - including pictures comparing the landscapes of the show to real-life places. The comparisons are AMAZING - they actually set this story in a real place!
.....Also, does anyone know what's up with the talking cat shown in the movie made by Haruhi? And that one close-up shot of a mole on Kyon's neck...? I was so confused...

Well, if you had a keen eye and were knowledgeable on the subject, you would have noticed that my last post listed the song "Hare Hare Yukai" by Aya Hirano, which is of course from......YES! Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (Otherwise known as The Meloncholy of Suzumiya Haruhi)! I started watching it for the simple reason that it had managed to climb so high on the Anime News Network charts. So far I've only seen the first few episodes and I have to say...not overly impressed - considering the mass amount of popularity seems to have gained. The animation quality, however, is very nice - especially the dances they do in the opening and ending sequences, which seem really smooth and well done. And although there are a certain amount of fan-service type things - which tend to bore me - it's a funny show and manages to hold my attention pretty well. It's very upbeat and somewhat confusing sometimes - as in, I could not figure out if these were just eccentric high school students or aliens...; I'm hoping they will begin to develop the characters more in later episodes, since I've only really just started this 14 episode series.

Will probably working like crazy on my portfolio & summer reading the whole time....fun. Ah, but I'll probably finish a certain pic that will be posted on deviantart later ^_~ Otanoshimini! <3

The moon tonight looks AWESOME. It's so close/huge and perfectly round. Also, because it's so close, it has this amazing yellow tint. I've never really seen one quite like it before...I don't think...even though it feels somehow nostalgic. I guess this is what they call a harvest moon.
Gah...need a Hitachiin brothers icon...;

Oh...my...god. A week ago I would have sworn to god that I had gotten a 2 or lower on my Chemistry IB test. But...but...I got a 4!!!! AHHHHHH!!! THAT IS SO FREAKING AWESOME because 3 is a passing score. I am so happy and relieved.
And I'm sure most of you predicted this, but I got a score of 7 on my Japanese IB test. The highest. Yay! ^^
